4. Sleepy market. "One-month implied volatility for the S&P 500 ended last week at a two-year low; the MOVE Index, which tracks the implied volatility for US Treasuries across the yield curve, had only been lower on one day over the past two years."
5. Sell-side price targets. “Strategist S&P 500 end-2025 targets have crowded into a tight window between 6,500 and 7,000. This is one of the tightest consensus bands at the start of any year on record. The last two years that began with tight target windows: 2017 and 2008 … A tight consensus is usually wrong."
