US Consumer Snapshot

30 charts on the US consumer

The following is the tenth in a series of themed reports DC publishes regularly for paid subscribers.

The goal of these reports is to hone in on and provide a "snapshot" of a specific area of the economy/markets.

Previous Snapshots:

1. Consumer surveys. Both major consumer surveys—the Consumer Sentiment and Consumer Confidence indices—remain below pre-pandemic levels

2. US air travel. But consumers are still traveling: TSA traveler throughput (7-day avg) is running 6.9% above 2019 levels.

3. Card spending. And "card spending data is holding up."
